Winter 2022 – Come in from the Cold

If you haven’t been to Good Union before you’re in for a treat. You’ll be met with greetings, and smiling, friendly faces. The bartenders at Good Union have a great reputation for mixing good drinks and having a good time.

High ceilings, big windows, and a great wrap around bar to make yourself comfortable. This is a perfect place to relax with friends. And if you’re into sports, one of the 7 TVs is bound to be showing your favorite team.

But what if you’d rather curl up on the couch in front of the fire. Maybe take a day out and binge-watch a new series? Let DoorDash do the cooking! Think Smoky Barbecue piled high on one of the Good Union warm, sweet brioche buns. Add a side of Smokehouse Beans with chunks of brisket for a satisfying meal for a cold day.

It might be a Loaded Spud night if it’s really cold. Imagine a large steamy baked potato with cheddar cheese and butter melting inside. Good Union tops that with crispy bacon, cool sour cream, and bits of fresh chopped chives. Mmmm.

Season 3 – Let’s Get Organized!

Here’s a Tip - Who doesn’t like before and after pictures! Look at what others have done and try this - Look carefully at those “before” pictures. Stuff everywhere! Make a mental note of 6 items that stand out to you.

Now, look at the “after” picture. How many of those 6 items from the before picture do you see in this one? My guess would be – only a few at best.

Granted, if the cat was in the first picture and isn’t in the second, my hope would be that he was simply relocated. But in fact, and after much study, I’ve found that the key to getting organized and staying organized is to somehow get back to a more manageable amount of stuff.

Letting Go

Start with a manageable space. Set up a staging area. An old sheet on the floor will do.

Begin sorting into 3 piles. Be honest about what you’re really going to use, what someone else might need more than you and what really just needs to be thrown out.

Box up the things you want to keep but really don’t use now. Label the box and put it away for another day.

Getting organized and staying organized isn’t easy. But the feeling you get once it’s done is worth the effort. You’ll be amazed at how good you feel when your clutter isn’t closing in around you.

Reward yourself at the end with social time at The Best Happy Hour at CityLine, Good Union Urban BBQ!
